We understand that plans change. This policy outlines the cancellation and refund terms for bookings on the Lighthouse platform.

Cancellation Policy Types

Each property has one of three cancellation policies. The policy is clearly displayed before booking confirmation:

Flexible

Best for uncertain plans

  • Full refund: Cancel 7+ days before check-in
  • 50% refund: Cancel 3-7 days before check-in
  • No refund: Cancel less than 3 days before check-in

Moderate

Balance between flexibility and commitment

  • Full refund: Cancel 14+ days before check-in
  • 50% refund: Cancel 7-14 days before check-in
  • No refund: Cancel less than 7 days before check-in

Strict

For confirmed bookings only

  • Full refund: Cancel 30+ days before check-in
  • 50% refund: Cancel 14-30 days before check-in
  • No refund: Cancel less than 14 days before check-in

How to Cancel Your Booking

To cancel your reservation:

  1. Log in to your Lighthouse account
  2. Navigate to "My Reservations"
  3. Select the booking you wish to cancel
  4. Click "Cancel Reservation"
  5. Review the refund amount and confirm cancellation

You will receive an email confirmation immediately after canceling.

Refund Processing

Timeline: Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days to your original payment method.

Method: Refunds will be returned to the credit/debit card used for the original booking.

Notification: You will receive an email confirmation when the refund is initiated.

Special Circumstances

Emergencies: In cases of exceptional circumstances (natural disasters, medical emergencies), we may provide exceptions. Please contact our support team with supporting documentation.

Company Cancellation: If the hosting company cancels your booking, you will receive a full refund regardless of the cancellation policy.

No-Shows: If you do not arrive without canceling, no refund will be provided.

Modifying Your Booking

If you wish to change dates instead of canceling:

  • Modifications are subject to availability
  • Price differences may apply
  • Changes must be made at least 30 days before check-in
  • Cancellation policy may apply to late modifications

Non-Refundable Fees

Some fees are non-refundable:

  • Payment processing fees
  • Service fees (in some cases)
  • Taxes and government fees already paid
